OBAMA the NEO-CON
http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=Y2Y3ODE2OTQ0MjAxZTI4Y2UxYmQ1ZmFkOWRmMTQyZTY=
No less that the National Review, the mouthpiece of the late neocon idol William Buckley, is referring to Barack Obama as a neocon. They are praising him for continuing Bush's war, even expanding it.

Obama Supports Extending Provisions of the Patriot Act
Lawmakers and civil rights groups had been pressing the Democratic administration to say whether it wants to preserve the post-Sept. 11 law's authority to access business records, as well as monitor so-called "lone wolf" terrorists and conduct roving wiretaps.
TG: We could use some of that "change" Obama promised. Where is it?

Geopolitical "change"?
*
http://www.stratfor.com/weekly/20090824_obamas_foreign_policy_end_beginning/?utm_source=Snapshot&utm_campaign=none&utm_medium=email
Especially in foreign policy, the more things "change", the more things stay the same.
As we have mentioned before, the single most remarkable thing about Obama’s foreign policy is how consistent it is with the policies of former President George W. Bush. Still, it is worth pausing to note how little Obama has deviated from the Bush foreign policy.
First, instead of ordering an immediate withdrawal from Iraq, he adopted the Bush administration’s policy of a staged withdrawal keyed to political stabilization and the development of Iraqi security forces. While he tweaked the timeline on the withdrawal, the basic strategy remained intact. Indeed, he retained Bush’s defense secretary, Robert Gates, to oversee the withdrawal. Second, he increased the number of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
Read the whole article. It's chock full of Bush policies that Obama has continued.

NEWT SUPPORTS OBAMA ON EDUCATION
WASHINGTON – Education Secretary Arne Duncan is joining forces with two unlikely allies, the Rev. Al Sharpton and Republican former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, to push cities to fix failing schools. The trio will visit Philadelphia, New Orleans and Baltimore later this year. They plan to add more stops as their tour progresses.
TG: But, but, Newt Gingrich is a conservative Republican, isn't he?
The president has vowed to make the United States the world leader in the number of people who graduate from college.
TG: That means they have to make the requirements easier again. Then they wonder why our kids keep getting dumber (but they are trained to be cogs in the machine).
Obama on Drugs: 98% Cheney?
Now this is from the left. See how close together we are on not only this issue, but others of Obama's actions as well? Stay united, do NOT under any circumstances buy into the "right/left" paradigm and let these corrupt sociopaths off the hook.

NEW Homeland Security Strategy
*
http://homelandsecuritynewswire.com/single.php?id=8412
In a speech today to the Council of Foreign relations, DHS secretary Janet Napolitano will unveil the administration's homeland security strategy; the emphasis will be on continuing and expanding many of the Bush administration's initiatives, but with greater emphasis on protecting civil liberties ...
TG: That's impossible! Bush was a conservative Republican and Obama is a liberal Democrat. Bush was a warmonger, but Obama is going to get us out of the war. They can't possibly be working toward the same end.
And the CFR, they're not really working hand-in-hand with both parties to merge America into a socialist New World Order. Why that's conspiracy nut nonsense. Rush Limbaugh said so.

Pro-War Republicans Should LOVE Obama
Warmongering weenie neocon Republicans (like Herb and Tommy) should LOVE President Obama.
He is currently almost doubling our troop presence in Afghanistan from 38,000 to 68,000. Even Dick Cheney was giddy, gushing, "I was glad to see President Obama commit additional troops to Afghanistan."
During April we dropped a record number of bombs in Afghanistan. I don't know what's left of Afghanistan to bomb after the initial shock & awe campaign sent them back into the stone age, but neocon warmongers should be elated with Obama nonetheless. They don't care why we are killing them, so long as we are killing them.
What purpose we have now in Afghanistan is unknown. There are no more al Qaeda operatives there (according to Gen. Petraeus), we chased them all out (and mostly into Iraq) long ago. But so long as we are killing Muslims, or at least torturing them, it doesn't matter to the weenies if we have a purpose.
We have also seen a sharp increase in attacks on civilians there. Obama is using attacks by drone (unmanned) planes to kill innocent civilians, including women and children. But again, the pro-war weenies don't care if those we kill are innocent, so long as we are killing Arabs.
Anti-Obama Christians were worried that he would slack off in our war on terror. Instead he has made George W. Bush look like a pacifist in comparison. The pro-war Republicans should be elated with Obama. He has increased the war on terror effort and exceeded President Bush in the matter.

BUSH KISSES QUEER WHORE!
Jeff Gannon was a homosexual prostitute who had White House press credentials - and access to George Bush's lips. The conservatives were silent about this. But Obama bowed to King Abdullah and all the Republicans are having strokes.

Conservatives, Christians, and Republicans are aghast at Obama's bow to Saudi King Abdullah - and they should be. But where was the outcry when George W. did the same thing?
The only outcry came from liberal Democrats. For a Republican to whine now is pure HYPOCRISY. All the Republicans did back then was to make excuses and claim Bush wasn't really bowing - just as the Democrats are doing now in their attempt at damage control over Obama's gaffe.

Of course it is an abomination that Obama would bow to any foreign leader, particularly a Muslim one - but wait until you see the next entry.
Also, the official explanation does not hold water. It looks like Obama actually did purposely bow to pay homage to the heathen Saudi leader.
It is appalling how we are kissing up to the Saudis in light of the fact that 17 of the 19 9-11 attackers were Saudis. But you haven't seen anything yet in regard to kissing up to the Saudis.

HUNG WITH OUR OWN ROPE
*
http://www.thenewamerican.com/files/TNA2507.pdf
TG: Here is another great example of Bush holding the door open for Obama - with the help of conservative Christians wed to the Republican party. I told everybody over and over that we shouldn't give Bush extra authorities because, even if he doesn't abuse them (a foolish assumption), eventually they would be passed on to someone like Obama or Hillary. Now Obama can hang us with the rope WE provided (well, the rope YOU provided in spite of my warnings).
President Obama also plans to “rescind a Bush Administration rule that granted protection to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care workers who refuse to perform or assist in abortions, sterilizations, and other contraceptive procedures on moral grounds ” if their organizations receive federal funds. The pro-life groups who supported the Bush administration’s unconstitutional forays into areas reserved to the states, such as sumptuary laws, are now witnessing the inherent dangers of an Imperial Presidency when the pendulum swings the other way. Obama has also vowed to continue Bush’s faith-based initiatives but to add stringent secular mandates to the funding. None of the above-stated goals included any mention of oversight by Congress or constitutional authorization. It will simply come about because Obama says so.
George W. Bush enthusiastically adopted the concept of using signing statements as a pseudo line-item veto.
Senator Obama criticized numerous Bush administration methods but has now adopted all of them. One of these methods was the use of the “state secrets” legal defense to prevent trials against those who may have participated in torture. Now Obama has asserted that very same defense. “In other words, individual constitutional rights of the highest order should be sacrificed on the altar of national security.” Obama also used the state-secrets defense to stop challenges to the Bush “Terrorist Surveillance Program ” (TSP) that he had attacked as a senator. Perhaps having the ability to now control the massive wire-tapping program has lessened the president’s disdain for its violations of privacy.
Fein summarizes how Obama has incorporated the Bush abuses into his administration: “President Obama has left undisturbed the bulwark of other Bush-Cheney usurpations or constitutional excesses: the Military Commissions Act of 2006; the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Amendments Act of 2008, which eviscerates the Fourth Amendment; the Status of Forces Agreement with Iraq concluded and President Bush's hundreds of signing statements.
This means that Obama can wiretap and listen to Americans at random and detain people indefinitely as “enemy combatants,” denying them the right of habeas corpus (to challenge their detention in court). Are these really powers we want one individual holding?Should Americans feel safe keeping these powers imbued in our Imperial Presidency just because Obama seems like a nice person?
His recent decision to increase the conflict in the Afghanistan war by sending 17,000 more troops into the battlefield barely raised a peep from Congress. His announcement to keep up to 50,000 troops in Iraq past 2011, which even was endorsed by war hawk John McCain, has already been accepted s a reality.
TG: So what difference did it make whether we elected Obama or McCain? Either of them would've essentially been a third Bush term. We'd have been far better off to support a genuine constitutionalist like Ron Paul and help the liberty movement grow.

Palin Supports Murdering Babies After Parental Consent

Sarah Palin Supports Murdering Babies After Parental Consent
JUNEAU -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is backing legislation that would require parental consent for a minor to have an abortion in Alaska. Rep. John Coghill, R-North Pole, and Sens. Fred Dyson, R-Anchorage, and Gene Therriault, R-North Pole, introduced the House and Senate bills at the beginning of session. They appeared with Palin and more than a dozen lawmakers at a news conference Thursday. [While approving of the "murder of children" by abortion throughout the state of Alaska, this pro-abort feminist Governor] says, "The most important thing is the right of Alaska children to receive support and the ability for them to receive the support and input of their parents as they face a life changing decision."

McCAIN GANG WOOING QUEERS
Two McCainiacs, his daughter Meghan, and his campaign manager, Steve Schmidt, are speaking to, and openly wooing, the Log Cabin sodomite Republicans.
Now tell me again why we should've voted for McCain so we wouldn't get an ungodly, sodomite-supporting liberal like Obama? What is the difference whether Republicans sodomize America or Democrats do it?
McCain insiders to speak before homosexual activists
Meghan McCain's speech is "Winning the Next Generation -- How can the Republican Party attract more young voters." The topic of Schmidt's address is "Moving Forward."

CHANGE (of plan)
*
http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/election/805
CHANGE (of plan)
We're not really going to have much change
The New American is running an article about promises President Obama has broken after only one month in office. Almost all of them are things he said he'd do differently than George Bush, but he has actually become a 3rd term of the Bush administation:
Broken Promise #1: “I’ll make our government open and transparent so that anyone can ensure that our business is the people’s business. ... No more secrecy.”
Reality: President Obama has made government less open and transparent, not more.
Broken Promise #2: “When there is a bill that ends up on my desk as President, you will have five days to look online and find out what’s in it before I sign it.
Reality: This was the first Obama promise to be broken as president
Broken Promise #3: “What I won't do is return to the failed theories of the last eight years that got us into this fix in the first place, because those theories have been tested and they have failed.
Reality: President Obama has followed President Bush’s policy precisely. Bush’s economic policies can be summed up as “spend a lot more, cut taxes selectively, thereby spiking the budget deficit.” Bush simply threw borrowed tax dollars at economic problems, including “stimulus” bailouts.

Obama backs Bush: No rights for foreign prisoners
Obama backs Bush: No rights for Bagram prisoners
By NEDRA PICKLER and MATT APUZZO
WASHINGTON (AP) The Obama administration, siding with the Bush White House, contended Friday that detainees in Afghanistan have no constitutional rights. In a two-sentence court filing, the Justice Department said it agreed that detainees at Bagram Airfield cannot use U.S. courts to challenge their detention. The filing shocked human rights attorneys."The hope we all had in President Obama to lead us on a different path has not turned out as we'd hoped," said Tina Monshipour Foster, a human rights attorney representing a detainee at the Bagram Airfield. "We all expected better."
TG: But I thought Obama was gonna be against the war on terror and reverse all Bush's policies? This is one he should reverse. Just because someone is not American doesn't mean he shouldn't have any rights. He should still actually have to be guilty before he's convicted. If someone is a terrorist, surely a court of Americans would convict him, so what's the need to deprive him of basic rights? Rights are to protect the innocent.

MORE ON THOSE WAR "IMMIGRANTS"
Is this President Nuts or What: National Suicide Imminent
Last year, George Bush by executive order started the importation of 1,000 Sunni and Shia Muslims into the USA every month. Consequently, we imported 12,000 Iraqi refugees. Those same refugees have fought and killed one another in Iraq for the last 1,000 years. That same executive order jumped those import numbers to 19,000 refugees in 2009. In the past week, President Barack Obama signed another $20.3 million bill to import Palestinians from war-torn Palestine. It might be appreciated that Muslims loathe Jews as a cultural paradigm.
TG: Ah, so the problem was started by Dubya, not Obama (see earlier entry). I'm glad Frosty Wooldrige is being honest about it.

OPEN POLICY?

Obama promised us he'd put an end to the Bush policy of supporting lengthy, secretive bills. He said he'd give the American people several days to know, understand, and be able to react to bills passed in Congress.
He broke that promise with his first bill, the 500 page long, $800 billion "Stimulus" package. Only five copies were available to Congress, and only the night before the vote. I was a top 1% percentile speed-reader in high school, but that would've still been a real challenge.
This is no different than previous secretive bills like the Patriot Act and NAFTA. The more things change, the more things stay the same.

RIGHT BACK AT YA!
*
My apologies if anyone is offended by this image of President Bush. I hope you'll blame the offender rather than the messenger.
An Obama basher: "And while it is tempting to remind everyone of how cruddy the foreign policy of the LAST ADMINISTRATION was, it in now way excuses the crumminess of the CURRENT ADMINISTRATION."
For eight long years, whenever I have criticized Bush, the Christian conservatives have defended him, accused me of being a liberal, and told me we should:
1. Obey our gov't (Rom 13, 1 Pet 2:13)
Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
1 Pet 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
2. Stop opposing gov't (2 Pet 2:10)
2 Pet 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
3. Pray for our president (1 Tim 2:1-2), and
1 Tim 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
4. Stop criticizing him (Jude 1:8).
Jude 1:8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
Now I will throw all those verses (mostly taken out-of-context or wrested) right back at those who have been (mis)using them for the past eight years.
Obama has not been president a month, has had little legislation passed and less implemented, but those same conservative Christians suddenly think NOW it's okay now to criticize, speak evil of, and oppose him.
Oh no. Every time I see a criticism of Obama, for something conservative Christians have been mute about for eight years while "Bro." Bush did the same thing, I am going to point out the hypocrisy. I was against these things when Clinton did them. I was against them when Bush did them. I am against them if Obama does them.
But most Christians were against Clinton invading Yugoslavia, but for Bush invading Iraq, yet they will be against Obama escalating in Afghanistan or invading Iran. They were against Clinton trying to put queers in gov't, but allowed Bush to name 18 without opposition, yet they will howl over Obama being queer-friendly. They are screaming about Obama's stimulus package, but aren't blaming Bush for starting it with the bank bailouts. BTW, McCain voted for the bailouts, so getting McCain instead of Obama wouldn't have made a difference.
Additionally, the former administration opened the doors for the current one. Obama will be able to do things he never could've gotten away with (naming queers, bailouts, etc.) had not Bush done it first. Proof of this is that Clinton was not allowed to do these things.

But Obama is AGAINST the War
*
TG: Obama is supposed to be against the war on terror and against torture. After all, he closed Gitmo, didn't he? Bush. McCain, and Obama were not opponents. They are TEAMMATES, supporting the same New World Order. Once again, we see Obama walking through the door that "Gentleman George" is holding open for him.

"What makes this particularly appalling and inexcusable is that Senate Democrats had long vehemently opposed the use of the "state secrets" privilege in exactly the way that the Bush administration used it in this case, even sponsoring legislation to limits its use and scope. Yet here is Obama, the very first chance he gets, invoking exactly this doctrine in its most expansive and abusive form to prevent torture victims even from having their day in court, on the ground that national security will be jeopardized if courts examine the Bush administration's rendition and torture programs -- even though (a) the rendition and torture programs have been written about extensively in the public record; (b) numerous other countries have investigated exactly these allegations; and (c) other countries have provided judicial forums in which these same victims could obtain relief."
[snip]
"The entire claim of "state secrets" in this case is based on two sworn Declarations from CIA Director Michael Hayden - one public and one filed secretly with the court. In them, Hayden argues that courts cannot adjudicate this case because to do so would be to disclose and thus degrade key CIA programs of rendition and interrogation - the very policies which Obama, in his first week in office, ordered shall no longer exist."
[snip]
"It isn't merely that the Obama DOJ is invoking the privilege for this particular case, which contains allegations of torture that are as brutal and severe as any. That's bad enough. But worse is that they're invoking the most abusive parts of the Bush theory: namely, that the privilege can be used to block the adjudication of entire cases (rather than, say, justify the concealment of specific classified documents or other pieces of evidence), and, worse still, can be used to prevent judicial scrutiny even when the alleged government conduct is blatantly illegal and, as here, a war crime of the greatest seriousness."

BUSH/OBAMA & EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS
MATTERS OF LIFE AND DEATH
Obama to OK embryonic stem cell research
Plans reversal of Bush policy as alternative adult cells prove successful
February 10, By Jerome R. Corsi © 2009 WorldNetDaily
NEW YORK – In a closed-door meeting with House Democrats at their retreat at the posh Kingsmill Golf Resort in Williamsburg, Va., President Obama gave his "guarantee" he will sign an executive order overturning President Bush's executive order restricting federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. Obama's reversal of Bush's policy comes in the face of scientific evidence that more than two decades of embryonic stem cell research have failed to produce medically valuable results, while adult stem cell research has resulted in successful medical treatments for a wide range of illnesses. By using an executive order to approve embryonic stem cell research for human therapeutic uses, the Obama administration plans to bypass congressional discussion and debate, seeking instead to reverse the Bush executive order without introducing any new legislation, the Washington Times reports.
TG: This is not a reversal of Bush's policy. It is a continuation of it, and taking the next step from it. Bush's policy allowed tax funding for experiments on already-existing stem cell lines. Once again, Dubya has held the door open for Obama to walk through. Both executive orders are illegal ways of making laws and are illegal ways of spending tax dollars. Where have all the Christians been for the past eight years when they should've been protesting Bush for allowing tax dollars to support ANY embryonic stem cell research? Had they pressured Bush then, Obama would have to reverse his policy now instead of just walk through the door Bush is holding open like a good gentleman.

Republicans cross aisle to help stimulus bill move ahead
Republicans cross aisle to help stimulus bill move ahead
(CNN) -- The Obama administration's $838 billion economic stimulus plan survived a key vote in the Senate, putting a compromise version of the bill on track for passage Tuesday.
With the help of Republican Sens. Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe and Arlen Specter, the Democrats locked in the votes needed to end debate on the bill.
One dissenting voice in the Senate is Republican Sen. John McCain, Obama's opponent in the presidential race. The Arizona senator called the bill "generational theft." "We're laying multitrillion dollars of debt on future generations of Americans," McCain said on CBS. "I can't support such a thing."
TG: Oh, the guy who voted for the multitrillion bank bailouts proposed by a Republican president has suddenly grown some principles when a lesser bill is proposed by a Democrat president. No wonder so many conservatives are suddenly finding fault with things Obama is doing after ignoring the same things the past eight years when a Republican did them. They are just following their idols.
ARAB REFUGEES - OH NO!

Sent to me by a loyal Bushbot: But what did Obama sign a week ago? He signed an Executive Order on Feb 4, 2009 published in the Federal Register where he directed $20.3 million for refugee and migration assistance to Gaza. He used money we don’t have to bring hundreds of thousands to the U.S. a country ill prepared to accept them in our current state of bankruptcy. In addition, Congress never weighed in on this – another end run around the Constitution via Executive Order. This refugee bill stands apart from the 19,000 Iraqi refugees arriving into the U.S. from Bush’s bill last year=1,500 a month. NOTE: Guess what religion they are?
TG: After the first Gulf War, Pappa Bush brought over more than 100,000 Arabs - all those guys who were waving the white flags - they were Saddam's enemies. We helped Saddam consolidate his power with the Baath Muslim Republican Guard.
Sonny Bush has been doing the same throughout the War on Terror.
Where were you guys 20 years ago? How about even eight years ago? When I complained about that stuff back then, the Bush-lovers made excuses for them. Why are you guys being such hypocrites to complain about Obama doing stuff you've been silent about for the past 20 years? If you'd have listened to me then, maybe they couldn't get away with it now. But you allowed it to happen when Republicans were in office. Now the precedent has been set and you can't stop it with a Democrat doing the same thing.
Hey, the president says he's a Christian - just like Bush did. It's your job to not speak evil of dignities and to pray for our president. You guys shouldn't be so preoccupied with politics. Quit complaining about our president and pray for him. Paul and the early Christians were under Nero, and they didn't whine about him or complain about politics. They just preached the gospel.

OBAMA NATIONALIZING ECONOMY

Communist: Obama working to nationalize U.S. economy
Claims 'people advocate president' pushing through radical agenda
TG: Say what? Bush just got done pushing through bank bailouts amounting to $2 TRILLION, that put most of the banking industry under the heel of the gov't, and we are blaming Obama for nationalizing the economy before his chair in the Oval Office is even warm?

Stimulus to ban religious worship
'This isn't like a convenient oversight, this is intentional'
February 06, By Bob Unruh - 2009 WorldNetDaily
President Obama's proposed economic stimulus plan makes a deliberate - and unconstitutional - attempt to censor religious speech and worship on school campuses across the nation,
TG: First of all, this only bans religious activity for "faith based" groups who accept gov't funding for their charity programs. Most of them are liberal churches and the gov't is almost doing us a favor by preventing them from religious activities. Any real church putting themselves under this program, thereby stealing from taxpayers, deserves to be hamstrung.
Second, the faith-based initiative program, including the prohibition of evangelism, was George W. Bush's program. All of a sudden, now that Obama is continuing it, conservatives recognize it as a problem. Why has it not been a problem to conservative Christians for the past eight years? I was against it then, I'm against it now. Why are conservative Christians against it now, but were silent then? Something really hypocritical about that. Are they more loyal to the Republican party than the Bible?
That will be a trend. Just like opening funding for foreign abortions, which Bush was already doing under the cloak of the UN and Planned Barrenhood, Obama will do the SAME THINGS as Bush, but conservative Christian dupes will now recognize those things as problems, after ignoring them (or supporting them) the past eight years. The only difference so far is that Obama is being more honest and open about doing those things that Bush did in secret. Thus, it has energized the conservative Christians to oppose Obama for the same things they have been sitting on their blessed assurance about the past eight years.

We are now leaving the George W. Bush administration and entering the Barack H. Obama administration. Obama is an avowed liberal, even a socialist. We don't support him at all. However, what we will endeavor to show is that 90% of the un-American, unconstitutional, and ungodly things he will perpetrate upon us are the SAME things that Dubya Bush has been foisting on us the past eight years.
I was against those things when Clinton did them, when Bush did them, and when Obama does them. However, too many knee-jerk conservative Christians gave Bush a free pass on the same things they chastised Clinton over (international meddling - Bosnia vs. Iraq, deficit spending, benefiting China, etc.) and will rebuke Obama for.
Get ready to get offended by the truth.
