McCain Calls Obama a 'Patriot,' Rejects Critics Who Say He's 'Unworthy' to Lead
McCain said that Obama had "comforted and inspired the country"
I believe he is a patriot sincerely intent on using his time in office to advance our country's cause," McCain said. "I reject accusations that his policies and beliefs make him unworthy to lead America or opposed to its founding ideals.
TG: McCain thinks Obama's policies are consistent with America's founding ideals? Now I'm GLAD this moron didn't win. *
“I probably won’t even vote for (McCain),” Bush told the group. "... but I’d have endorsed Obama if they’d asked me.”
TG: I've been telling you all for ten years that Bush and Obama are on the same team (and the rest of the neocon RINOS). But the Republicans have taken over, so don't worry. By the end of January Wisconsin will resemble the garden of Eden. *
Obama Uses Ashcroft Supreme Court Case to Advance White House
The U.S. Department of Justice under President Barack Obama is helping defend former Attorney General John Ashcroft against a lawsuit that claims the Bush administration official should be held liable for misusing the law during the post-Sept. 11 hysteria. In taking Ashcroft’s side, the Obama administration appears to be hoping to shield its own officials from legal assaults for controversial decisions. What is disturbing about the Obama position is that the Justice Department is not arguing that what Ashcroft did was legal, but rather that, as Attorney General, his actions should be immune from prosecution.
TG: I keep telling you all that Bush & Obama are on the SAME SIDE! Most Democrats and Republicans are. So when you vote for that lesser-evil, neocon, fraud - you are really voting for the things Obama stands for.
Regardless of the rhetorical attacks Republicans have lobbed at him for being soft on terrorism, President Barack Obama is continuing much of his predecessor’s policies and strategies for the war on terror, argues Eli Lake at Reason.com. TG: When naive Christian conservatives supported giving such unconstitutional war powers to President Dubya, because he was a Republican and would only use those powers against them nasty terrorists, I told them to consider that any power they gave Bush, they were also giving to future President Hillary (she was the Dem front-runner at the time). Well, you gullible dupes didn't listen to me then - so I'm reminding you now that President Obama now has the powers YOU gave the office. Whatever he does with them is YOUR fault. You have no right to complain. You got what you ASKED for.
